Several foreigners who specifically went to South Korea for plastic surgery have been held at the airport because they look very different from their passports photos!
We’ve got to hand it to the South Koreans for their excellent cosmetic surgery skills – just imagine changing a person’s face that skillfully.
Similar incidents have been reported over the past months, prompting clinic officials to begin issuing certifications to each client, stating that he/she has undergone plastic surgery to alter the appearance.
Airport officials are not happy about this, of course. This gives them added work because they had to thoroughly check whether a particular person is speaking the truth or was merely trying to cheat the security measures.
