Samsung takes the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge; Nominates iPhone 5S, HTC’s One M8, and the Lumia 930

Done to create awareness about a disease known as Amyotrophic Llateral Sclerosis (ALS), we’ve seen big names – including former US President George W. Bush and Apple’s Tim Cook – drench themselves with the ice-cold water, and now, Samsung though its Mobile UK YouTube channel has published a video that shows the Galaxy S5 taking the Ice Bucket Challenge and very smartly promotes how the device is waterproof.

Yes, you heard it right! The Galaxy S5, Samsung’s flagship has now officially joined the bandwagon and has successfully survived the Ice Bucket Challenge. Samsung Galaxy S5 became the 1st smartphone to do so and surprisingly nominating the iPhone 5s, HTC One M8 and Nokia Lumia 930 to take the challenge next.

“I am the Samsung Galaxy S5. This is my ice bucket challenge. Gosh, that’s freezing. I nominate the iPhone 5s, the HTC One (M8), and Nokia Lumia 930.”

  1. It is certain that Samsung donated to the awareness project but using that to endorse their own product? Come on

  2. Come on guys.at least they did something good and they help by donating.just look at the bright side man.the question is, have you done your part?

    well,

    Samsung did.

  3. Seriously, a ripoff from Xperia’s waterproof feature. How come they did not nominate Sony Xperia Z2?

    • Sure, it’s water resistant…. I mean, what do you expect from a phone made of plastic and faux leather? :))
