The news of their first movie project together set abuzz online and was met with much enthusiasm from fans of both artists. The two will be directed by Cathy Garcia-Molina, who is known for romantic comedy movies and melodramatic films.
With that said, here are the other times that talents from GMA Network worked with ABS-CBN film production company, Star Cinema:

2. You’re Still The One
This romantic drama film, released in 2015, was the first big-screen team up of actress Maja Salvador and Dennis Trillo. Directed by Chris Martinez, the movie was co-produced with Regal Entertainment.
3. Da Possessed
Comedy-horror film of 2014, this movie starred Vhong Navarro and Solenn Heusaff under the direction of Joyce Bernal.
4. She’s The One
Bea Alonzo and Dingdong Dantes, celebrated actors from various primetime television series, teamed up for this 2013 romantic-comedy. The film was directed by Mae Cruz-Alviar.
5. It Takes A Man and A Woman
Isabelle Daza joined top Kapamilya stars Sarah Geronimo and John Lloyd Cruz in this 2013 romantic-comedy sequel. Daza has since then transferred to ABS-CBN.
6. Kung Fu Divas
Ai Ai delas Alas co-starred with Kapuso superstar Marian Rivera in this action-comedy film directed by Onat Diaz. Delas Alas has since then transferred to GMA Network.
7. One More Try
Winning Metro Manila Film Festival 2013 entry, Dingdong Dantes starred for the second time in Star Cinema alongside Kapamilya stars Angel Locsin, Angelica Panganiban, and Zanjoe Marudo. It was directed by Ruel Bayani.
8. Segunda Mano
Horror flick from 2011, a recurring actor in Star Cinema pictures, Dingdong Dantes this time around teamed up with Queen of All Media Kris Aquino. The film was directed by Joyce Bernal.

Different women, different choices, different perceptions.
In one of Jackie Rice’s interview, the actress declared that she’d rather want to have children than having a husband.
“Gusto ko nga magka-baby lang, e, ayoko ng boyfriend, ayoko ng asawa. Gusto ko lang magpalahi, charot! Hahaha!,” she added.
She believed that the secret woman to be called a “goddess,” even after reaching adulthood is without having a man in her life that will only cause problems.
She doesn’t even believe in matrimony but she still wanted to be married just in case she will be given a chance to be married. Jackie wants to marry now that she is old enough and already have children.
“Gusto ko ikakasal ako… just in case na ikasal ako, yung may mga anak na ako, matanda na ako.”
After breaking up with her non-showbiz boyfriend in 2017, she stays single.
On the contrary, the Megastar’s daughter, KC Concepcion, said she would rather want marriage first before having kids as one of her priorities in life.
On KC’s Instagram account, she posted a romantic photo of her with boyfriend Pierre Emmanuel Plassart and captioned it, “It sure does it feels like February…Happy Valentines Month, beautiful people!”
She met the man of her life Pierre, seven years ago at a gala dinner in Los Angeles.
The sweet photograph of them captured the attention of netizens and a lot commented on how the couple looked good together. Some say that their future kids would surely look good too.
A netizen wrote, “Ang ganda ng magiging anak nito.”
KC replied to the comment with, “In Jesus name. Amen. Wala pa naman. Kasal first, before kids for me.”
As a woman, we have our own personal insights about marriage and having children. What is important is that we are happy and contented on the life we choose – either by being a single parent or getting into married life before having children.
In this society, single parenting is acceptable especially to the young generation due to early pregnancy, but it is also good to provide a child with its right to have a family – with a father and a mother.
Now, it is for you to decide whether you want to follow Jackie Rice’s point of view or KC Concepcion’s priorities in life.
Veteran television host Boy Abunda has never walked out of an interview before, but he admitted that there were some instances that he nearly did it.
On the October 29 episode of ‘Tonight With Boy Abunda,’ he named his three most difficult interviews in the span of his career.
Boy has interviewed comedian and TV host Vhong Navarro last 2014, after he got beaten up by the camp of Cedric Lee.
“Remember when Vhong was in the hospital and he had his lawyers? It was not comfortable kasi si Vhong pasa-pasa.
“I also felt for Vhong.”
He named KC Concepcion’s controversial ‘The Buzz interview’ next, where she revealed the details of her break-up with actor Piolo Pascual.
“Dumating kami ni KC dito, halos sabay, 8 o’clock in the evening. Alas dos nangyari ‘yung interview dahil she couldn’t make up her mind whether she wanted to do the interview or not. That’s a difficult interview.”
The last interview he mentioned was his one-on-one with Claudine Barretto after Rico Yan’s death, the actress’ former on-screen partner and ex-boyfriend.
“”Another difficult interview was with Claudine Barretto. Hindi ko makakalimutan. This is a time when pumanaw ang kaibigan Rico Yan. It was a difficult interview. Pag dating namin dito, hindi namin alam kung eere.”
Even though she had an invitation, Megastar Sharon Cuneta didn’t make it to the first ever ABS-CBN Ball held at the Makati Shangri-La Hotel on September 29.
In her Instagram post last weekend, Sharon said that everything was ready for her appearance at the ball, including her gown and the glam team that will help her prepare.
But unfortunately, she wasn’t able to make it because of tiredness and body ache after her 40th anniversary concert in Araneta Coliseum the day before the event. She explained that it was her decision not to attend.
My beautiful gown by @jotlosa was ready, glam team @mariano.peachy @jeffreyaromin were ready. The star who was invited to the ABS-CBN BALL thought last night that she was definitely gonna be ready to go. Until she woke up this afternoon and her whoooole boooodyyyy was aching sooooo much that she couldn’t walk straight- cos she forgot she wanted to go to the Ball after singing, standing, dancing, moving for hours on stage last night! So girl is gonna eat her first (again, yes, FIRST) meal today when room service arrives, then conk out and sleep, hopefully long enough to recover for work tomorrow (Yes, tomorrow and everyday after!)! Have fun, all my Kapamilya! I love you! God bless you all. ❤️❤️❤️
Aside from the megastar, her daughter, KC Concepcion, was also invited to the event.

Women’s empowerment is a very relevant issue at the moment, following the unending rise of the ever condemnable incidents of misogyny across the world. Worse, misogyny gyrates not only outside the female community but also within it. Still, as always, the subject of beauty takes part as one of the many root issues why this deep-seated prejudice against women comes about.
Like everyone else, women are usually judged solely based on how they appear in the physical form; some people’s sense of beauty is limited, as though having imperfections is a disease.
That is why, Shopee, the leading e-commerce platform in Southeast Asia and Taiwan, encourages women to uphold their self-empowerment, to embrace their own idea of beauty, accept themselves more, and enhance their potentials. The company has partnered with leading beauty brands Maybelline and Palmolive, to bring together five Women’s Rights advocates in celebration of women empowerment. As part of Shopee’s Beauty Fair event, the women – 2013 Miss World, Megan Young, actress KC Concepcion, and blogger-influencers Martha Jante, Kristine Roces and Helen Payawal – each shared their personal stories on how they overcame society’s beauty standards, and to encourage Filipina women to do the same.
Featuring three different talk show sessions, the five women shared personal stories on various topics, including how the media has influenced the standards of beauty, their struggles with overcoming society’s expectations of women, and how they managed to achieve success in both their careers and personal lives.
“Joining Miss World 5 years ago really took me out of my comfort zone and challenged me to be more confident. After being crowned, I realized I was in a position where I had the power to influence young women, and I wanted to do my part to encourage them to stand up for themselves. I used to just shrug off people who say insensitive or hurtful comments, but now call them out and tell them they’re wrong, and I encourage all women to not be afraid to do the same,” shared Megan Young.
Meanwhile, brand ambassador for Palmolive, KC Concepcion, also shared her own story on how being healthy is as important as being true to oneself. The singer turned actress talked about numerous topics from haircare to fitness, and how her journey with maintaining her health has helped her confidence and enabled her to achieve success in both her career and personal life.
Beauty influencers Martha Jante, Kristine Roces, and Helen Payawal talked about their work as influencers and bloggers in the beauty industry. The famous influencers also shared their everyday struggles as women in their field and how they were able to overcome it with the confidence that makeup has been able to give them.
Certainly, the society has set ideal beauty standards, which turn women into victims of always attempting to look only in a certain way in order to fit in. But we should start thinking that beauty has many faces — it has many versions not only limited to one. Real beauty, above all, is a matter of accepting one’s self and learning to enhance one’s gifts without the need to please others.
(In line with the Beauty Fair event, Shopee will also be celebrating Beauty Week from June 21 to 27. Users can expect up to 95% off the health and beauty category on top of a storewide sale, exclusive deals and bundles, P199 below collections and many more. Users can look forward to massive savings on a wide variety of items including makeup, skincare, haircare and other health and personal care items.)
Mark Bautista is publishing his own book and people are already forming speculations about the “shocking revelation” written in one chapter of his autobiography.
The book entitled “Beyond the Mark” is due to be released on Valentine’s day, where the singer is said to reveal an ‘all-out’ exclusive on some part of his life that has been kept secret for long from the public.
In the “Friendshift” chapter of the book, Mark tells the story of his alleged “affair” with another local actor who had a girlfriend back then. Although Mark did not drop any names, the media and netizens have been forming speculations on who the singer is referring to.
Mark admits having a “bromance” with the local actor despite avoiding the temptation of seeing each other.
Accordingly, Mark tells the story of how he got “intimate” with the said actor one drunken night after seeing each other in a bar.
According to an online article, Mark shared in his book that after the actor’s girlfriend left, they then got drunk and he ended up going home with him and spent the night in the actor’s house where they reportedly became “intimate.”
Admittedly, Mark shared that the actor’s girlfriend found out and got so angry that it had started a “huge drama between the three and it became a spectacle.”
Although again, Mark did not mention any names, in an article published by Philstar, the alleged “bromance” between Mark and the other actor is circulating in the media right now and it looks like all fingers are pointing on actor, Piolo Pascual. The speculations are revolving around the actor and his then-girlfriend, KC Concepcion.
The issue surrounding the controversial break-up of model/actress, KC Concepcion and actor, Piolo Pascual is being dragged right now in social media following the confession that Mark shared in his autobiography. A lot of people have been linking the name of the two stars in Mark’s “bromance/ intimate encounter” story.
Although there is still no statements coming from either party regarding the allegations, netizens have come abuzz with the performer’s upcoming book which contains stories of his life’s journey including his love life. The book serves as his way of being true to himself and sharing his stories to the world.
The performer’s autobiography will probably make readers fall off their chairs because of some much-awaited revelations surrounding the performer. The book is set to hit the stands on February 14, 2018.

Kapamilya actor Piolo Pascual has finally revealed his true sexuality. At least according to a satire site anyway.
According to satirical news portal Manila Link, the 38-year-old heartthrob, who has been a constant subject of gay rumors for the past years, admitted that he had been in a relationship with both women and men.
In 2011, Pascual’s high-profile relationship with actress KC Concepcion ended on bad terms following speculations that the actor was having an affair with a male ABS-CBN talent.
Several reports revealed that Concepcion learned about it after allegedly catching the two in bed.
In an exclusive interview with Boy Abunda on the defunct ABS-CBN talk show The Buzz, Concepcion admitted their split but refused to give details about it.
“PJ knows exactly why we broke up. He knows exactly why,” Concepcion told Abunda.
Almost four years after their split, the ex-lovers finally ended their rift during the ASAP 20 show in London in September this year.
Despite the former lovers’ recent reconciliation, the popular leading man still faces controversies involving his sexuality. But Pascual chooses to simply ignore his bashers.
“Masakit, di ba? Pero parang sana kilala mo ako bago mo ako sabihan ng ganyan. Kinikibit-balikat ko na lang,” Pascual told journalist Anthony Taberna during an episode of Tapatan ni Tunying.
(It hurts, right? But I think you should get to know me first before you say that. I just simply ignore it.)
Regarded as one of the most notorious satirical news sites in the Philippines, Manila Link is known for releasing trending hoax reports involving famous personalities in the country.
Several netizens were tricked after it published the hoax news titled Kris Aquino on Maria Ozawa: “Ilang lalake na ang gumamit sa kanya?” went viral. In the article, Aquino allegedly asked the controversial question after reporters asked her to comment on Ozawa, a Japanese actress and a former AV idol, being open to dating her brother President Benigno Aquino III.
