- People believe Antonio Sanchez is secretly allowed to leave Bilibid Prison
- Sanchez still denies that he killed Sarmenta and Gomez
People that live in Calaulan have said that they have seen the former mayor and convicted murderer Antonio Sanchez countless times in the city.
According to them, the warden would let him out of Bilibid prison for a good amount of time and the former mayor would go to his house and would talk to his friends regularly.
Although many people believe this, given the fact that Sanchez has that kind of power, this has not been confirmed yet.
Photographer Grig C. Montegrande was in Bilibid Prison recently and was able to take a photo of Sanchez.
The photo showed Sanchez in a clean outfit, wearing a well-ironed orange polo, grey slacks, and shiny black shoes, with a watch and shades on. A guard was also seen behind Sanchez.
Netizens say that this was all a set up to clear the speculations of the mayor being allowed to leave the prison.

Some netizens are saying that the person in the photo isn’t really Sanchez, but a decoy because his face could not be seen properly.
BuCor explained that they do not have enough money to supply inmates with jail clothing so they are allowed to wear their own clothes, but are prohibited from using luxurious watches.
Also back in the month of May, Sanchez’s daughter Amty Sanchez Alcid went on Facebook and said how proud of a daughter she is. In a now-deleted post, Amty said, “Mula ng ako ay maliit hanggang sa kasalukuyang panahon ay siya ang aking tinitingala at siya ang aking IDOL”.
She then posted a picture of herself with her father and included a birthday greeting for him.
This had people speculating that maybe Sanchez is really being let out by authorities on purpose.
PinoyAkoBlog posted the screenshots on Twitter and netizens conclude that Sanchez indeed is allowed to leave on the regular.

The DOJ recently said that Sanchez will be released from prison because he has been showing good conduct and exemplary behavior. This is all backed up by the Revised Penal Code that says an inmate’s jail sentence will be reduced based on the good conduct time allocated.
This sparked outrage since Sanchez has been convicted for multiple murders, other than the Eileen Sarmenta and Allan Gomez case.
In a recent interview, Sanchez still denies that he did all the crimes that he was convicted for.
Sanchez said that Sarmenta and Gomez were killed by his political rivals and their bodies were dumped in Calauan to frame him.
Sanchez believes that he should be released early because he has shown that he is a changed man while being incarcerated. He claims that he can show certificates of appreciation of his good deeds, and also mentioned that he has even bought other inmates medicines that they need.
Sanchez has been incarcerated for 26 years. He is expected to be released in 2033, 14 years from now.
