BINI paid a special birthday tribute to Bam Aquino during their visit to the Senate on Wednesday, May 6, as they received official recognition for their historic performances at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in Indio, California.

The senator, who celebrated his birthday on Thursday, May 7, gamely danced while the “Nation’s Girl Group” serenaded him with a cheerful birthday song.
Following the lighthearted moment, the P-pop group joined the plenary session where they formally received a parchment copy of Senate Resolution No. 370 authored by Sen. Aquino. The resolution was officially adopted by the Senate in recognition of BINI’s milestone achievement as the first Filipino act to perform at Coachella.
In his sponsorship speech, Aquino praised the group for bringing pride and honor to the Philippines through their performances on April 10 and 17, 2026.

He also emphasized how BINI showcased Filipino culture through their music, styling, and choreography.
According to Aquino, BINI’s success serves as inspiration for young Filipinos dreaming of reaching the global stage.
“Ang kanilang tagumpay ay nagsisilbing inspirasyon sa napakaraming kabataang Pilipino na mangarap at maniwala na kaya rin nilang maabot ang world stage,” he pointed out.
The senator also highlighted the impact of the group’s achievement on the country’s creative economy.
