A TikTok account under the name of Gelo Alonte, brother of influencer Gela Alonte, has caught attention online after posting strong words against critics linking their family to corruption.
In one video, Gelo addressed accusations against their parents, saying: “Pilit mong sisirain ‘yong tao kasi nakikita mo sa kaniya ‘yong buhay na gusto mo, sobrang pait talagang lunukin ng inggit no?”
In another post, he fired back at repeated comments labeling their parents as corrupt: “Tapos paulit-ulit ‘yong word na ‘corrupt parents mo’ wala namang kasiguraduhan, mamatay kayo sa inis!!!”
The posts quickly circulated, with netizens reacting strongly—some mocking him as “clout chaser,” others demanding proof that the family’s wealth did not come from questionable sources.
One commenter wrote, “Para matigil yung allegations, magpakita kayo ng proof na di nakaw yung pera nyo.” Another added, “Normalize public shaming and calling out all corrupt politicians and their families who shamelessly flaunt our tax money.”
The Alontes have been under public scrutiny, with Gela herself previously criticized after a viral TikTok Live clip where she laughed when asked about political dynasties. She later clarified she was nervous and did not mean to dismiss the issue.
The TikTok account of Gelo appears to be newly created, with its first post uploaded only four days ago. Despite the backlash, he has remained active, continuing to defend his family and dismissing critics as envious.
