Bea Borres and her former partner Meray Yamada unexpectedly sparked “kilig” among netizens after the Filipino-Japanese basketball player appeared in the social media personality’s latest “bonus clip.”
The video caught followers’ attention as Bea and Meray—who share a daughter, Victoria Hope—engaged in playful banter while she made him taste a cake she had baked.
Their lighthearted interaction surprised some followers given what Bea had previously shared publicly about their relationship.
During her May appearance on ‘Fast Talk with Boy Abunda,’ Bea revealed that she and Meray had tried living together for their daughter but ultimately found that the arrangement did not work for them.
“Tito Boy, I tried, nagsama kami, nag-acting kami bilang pamilya pero bumalik lahat ng sakit, eh. Kasi when I was pregnant wala talagang anything, eh. Siguro nag-e-expect pa rin ako na he would try kasi nakalabas na yung daughter namin pero wala talaga,” she said.
Bea did not hold back from teasing her ex in their latest video.
She joked that she invited Meray to appear because content featuring him attracts engagement. She also claimed during their exchange that he was not giving her money.
“You know why I’m doing this? Coz you don’t wanna give me money, so, eh malakas yung engagement kapag kasama ka eh, so gagatasan na lang kita,” Bea told him.
She further teased Meray about supposedly having other women and said she wanted them to get upset over his appearance in her video.
“I don’t have babae,” Meray replied, denying her remark.
Bea then fed him the cake she had baked, joking that it was her way of getting back at him because he was on a diet.
Meray even asked whether the cake had poison in it.
“Sana nga eh,” Bea jokingly answered.
As she gave him another bite, she teased, “Para mag-away kayo ng babae mo!”
Their daughter also appeared in the content.
Despite appearing comfortable around each other, Bea maintained that she and Meray are not in a co-parenting setup and said she has no plans to enter such an arrangement with him. She has previously said that she instead co-parents with Meray’s mother.
The former couple’s banter quickly drew reactions from viewers, several of whom admitted that they unexpectedly found the interaction entertaining and even romantic.
Bea also indicated that she and Meray could make more content together in the future, with possible ideas including a lie detector challenge.
