Fans are set to experience the joy of witnessing music icon Jose Mari Chan perform his original romantic songs live at “Afterglow: Seasons of the Heart,” happening on Saturday, July 11, 2026, at the newly refurbished Philippine International Convention Center (PICC) Plenary Hall.
The concert will also feature Tawag ng Tanghalan Duets Grand Champions and the latest Your Face Sounds Familiar grand winners JM Dela Cerna and Marielle Montellano, Pinoy Big Brother Gen 11 standout Kolette Madelo, and Tawag ng Tanghalan champion Lyka Estrella. The younger artists will perform several special numbers alongside the legendary OPM singer-songwriter.

Since 1967, Jose Mari Chan has composed and recorded countless timeless ballads such as “Afterglow” (his first hit song), “Can We Just Stop and Talk a While,” “A Love to Last a Lifetime,” “Tell Me Your Name,” “Please Be Careful with My Heart,” “Constant Change,” “Beautiful Girl,” and many more songs that have become part of the soundtrack of Filipino life.
Mr. Chan, fondly known in the entertainment industry as Tito Joe or JMC is regarded as the original “Mr. Songwriter.”
His music has transcended generations and continues to inspire today’s artists. As the Ryan Cayabyab Singers shared in an Instagram post: “Though he is more known today for his timeless Christmas hits, the magic of his many other love songs and that unmistakable JMC sound shaped an entire era of OPM.”
