Kim Chiu was deceived in love but will still love

As the premiere date approaches, Kim Chiu’s resilience and openness to love continue to capture the attention of fans, adding an intriguing layer to the anticipation surrounding ‘Linlang’ and its exploration of the complexities of relationships.

Kapamilya stars Kim Chiu and Paulo Avelino shared insights into their experiences with love and heartbreak during the presscon of their series ‘Linlang’ yesterday (January 15).

During a lively ‘Yiz or Wit’ game, both actors were asked if they had ever been deceived or cheated on in relationships.

Kim Chiu’s response was an affirmative “Yiz,” acknowledging the universal nature of experiencing deception in love. She offered a resilient perspective, encouraging others to embrace the pain, learn from the experience, and move forward.

“Kasi wala nagmahal ka eh, siyempre masu-shoot ka talaga sa mundo ng kalokohan. Pero that’s part of life, part of growth. So embrace the pain, and learn something from that experience and then you are good to go!”

Kim, who recently confirmed her separation from Xian Lim, also spoke about her openness to falling in love again.

Despite the recent changes in her personal life, she expressed optimism about the future, stating, “Oo naman. Hindi man sa ngayon muna, pero hopefully in the next months to come. Kasi ang love naman, marami namang kayang magbigay ng love. And willing naman ako tumanggap. Basta, kasali sa buhay ‘yun, i-embrace nating lahat.”

The press conference offered a platform for Kim to share her outlook on love, especially in the wake of her mutual decision with Xian Lim to transition their relationship into a lifelong friendship. The couple expressed gratitude for the support of their followers and requested privacy as they embark on new journeys.

The much-anticipated teleserye version of ‘Linlang’ is scheduled to premiere on January 22 on various ABS-CBN platforms following ‘FPJ’s Batang Quiapo.’ Directed by FM Reyes, the series promises to bring a fresh perspective to the narrative, building upon the success of its original Prime Video release.

With a new structure and a 30-minute format, the television adaptation aims to provide viewers with a more immersive experience.
