Former child star Jiro Manio has decided to part ways with his prestigious Gawad Urian Best Actor trophy for the acclaimed movie ‘Magnifico.’

The sale took place on the set of Boss Toyo’s ‘Pinoy Pawnstars,’ with the trophy fetching a sum of P75,000.

While now serving as a volunteer counselor at the Department of Health’s Treatment and Rehabilitation Center-Bataan, Jiro revealed his initial plan for the trophy.

He expressed a desire to see it included in Boss Toyo’s envisioned museum, dedicated to showcasing accolades received by former artists.

“Ang plano ko talaga noong napanood kita, nabalitaan ko kasi na magtatayo ka ng museum, sabi ko, ‘Sana mapabilang ako do’n sa mga dating artista na nakatanggap na award’,” shared Jiro about his original intentions for the trophy.

Negotiations for the sale initially started with Jiro proposing a selling price of P500,000 for the prestigious trophy. However, after some discussion, both parties agreed on a final sum of P75,000.

In addition to Jiro’s trophy, Boss Toyo also acquired various other items, including Salbakutah’s Best Song trophy for ‘S2pid Luv’ in 2022, Long Mejia’s Best Actor trophy, and a ‘Bagkasan’ polo from Chito Miranda, Francis Magalona, and Gloc-9, among other memorabilia.
