A little boy has gotten viral due to the gift he gave his mom on Mothers’ Day.
John Marie Domingo Villanueva, a Facebook user, has posted a touching story about a young boy who gave his savings to his mother on Mothers’ Day.
The post said that one afternoon, John Marie was surprised when her eldest child handed her a plastic bag. Intrigued, she asked her son about the unexpected gift.
The son excitedly informed his mother that it was Mother’s Day, which he had learned from their neighbors’ kids.
Delighted, the mother asked her son about his sudden awareness.
The son lovingly expressed his desire to give his mother a gift. He handed her the plastic bag, asking her to use the money inside to buy rice for the family.
Grateful for her son’s thoughtfulness, the mother accepted the gift but wondered where the money came from.
Curiosity got the better of her. The mother inquired about the source of the money. She was surprised when her son revealed that he had saved a portion of his daily allowance for this purpose.
Despite his usual allowance being only P10, he saved by eating at home instead of buying food outside.
