The Little Big Star alum did not pass on joining a group of Kapampangan men while his group was rounding up houses to do personal campaigning for the Leni-Kiko tandem in Pampanga.
A day after VP Leni Robredo and Senator Francis Pangilinan’s record-setting ‘Manalakaran’ rally in San Fernando, the Tropang Angat’s house-to-house campaign came into full swing in various cities of the province. Hopping on the so-called ‘Tao sa Tao’ bandwagon has attracted popular celebrities, who join regular citizens in personally talking with voters to convince them to choose the Leni-Kiko team-up. Since it has begun, we’ve seen the likes of Agot Isidro, Mylene Dizon, and Donny Pangilinan.
On Palm Sunday, April 10, one of the celebrities who joined the Tropang Angat team in its house-to-house campaign, is the actor and recording star, Sam Concepcion. The 29-year old artist is notably known as one of the most successful alumni of the ABS-CBN singing-reality search, Little Big Star. Concepcion is also popular for his signature hits, including Dati (with tippy Dos Santos), Mahal na Mahal, and the currently chart-topping, Diwata.
A day earlier, Concepcion performed and delighted audiences at the record-shattering Leni-Kiko grand rally in San Fernando. He charmed netizens, even more, when photos of him finally doing the Tao sa Tao campaign made it to Twitter, the next day. The photos from the Team Leni Robredo group showed Concepcion making genuine interactions with various people. He is seen sharing a photo with a sari-sari store merchant, a group of young boys, a group of Leni-Kiko volunteers, and families who allowed his team to put up campaign materials on their properties…
What amused and delighted the netizens the most, however, is that one photo where Concepcion is seen joining a group of middle-aged men having an “inuman” or liquor-drinking session.
“Nag-house to house si sam concepcion for leni-kiko kaso mukhang napa-shot pa ata” shared Vico Blanco, in a tweet that featured the photo of Sam with his newfound drinking buddies.

Another user teased Sam to fill his shot glass up to the brim. “Napadaan na nga, Napa tagay pa HAHAHHA, Shot puno (He did not just drop by, he also took a shot. Take it up to the brim!)” he shared.

Twitter user, @not_zaira, meanwhile asked the ‘Mga Gwapo For Leni’ volunteer group to make Concepcion as one of their members. “I NOMINATE @sam_concepcion as an honorary member of @MgaGwapoForLeni’ she tweeted.

Concepcion has been a vocal Robredo supporter since October, last year. The ‘Manalakaran’ event marked his first appearance and performance in a Leni-Kiko grand rally.
