Heart Evangelista missed out on big events for the drama series ‘I Left My Heart in Sorsogon’

Her husband Chiz Escudero is the sitting governor of Sorsogon which made her feel like she had to do something for the province

Heart Evangelista couldn’t miss taping for the upcoming romance series ‘I Left My Heart in Sorsogon’ for anything in the world.

In a media conference, she revealed that she was supposed to attend big events but instead chose to do the teleserye.

“One thing that I missed was meeting Anna Wintour and I was supposed to go to Cannes Film Festival. I was gonna work with Chaumet for a dinner or something like that and other fashion shows,” she said.

“But there’s always a next year or a next time. I felt that this was pivotal for me to come up with something for Sorsogon,” she added.

Her husband, Chiz Escudero, is the sitting governor of Sorsogon, which made her feel like she had to do something for the province.

“When I had this connection with Sorsogon, I felt that ‘how can I do my part? In my own way, how can I do something for them?’

Plus, it has been a long time since the actress worked on a television series.

“So I really wanted to do something for Sorsogon. I [also] felt that it was time for me to do a soap. I missed it so much, and I realized I missed it so so much when I started to tape.” she said.

GMA Network will start airing I Left My Heart in Sorsogon on November 15.
