Joshua Garcia excited to see his music school succeed

This is his only second time investing in something big as he isn’t prepared yet to start a business of his own.

Joshua Garcia cannot wait to see his new music school becomes big and successful.

In an interview with RAWR Nation, he said the Academy of Rock, (AOR) Philippines is all about teaching people how to play various instruments and promoting local artists as well.

Basically, it’s a music school. Isa sa mga goals namin is to makuha yung talent ng mga local artists natin, yung mga gustong matuto ng iba’t ibang klaseng instrument. Gusto namin silang matulungan,” he said.

Before investing in the endeavor, which fellow actor Enchong Dee pitched to him, Garcia had to go back to school to study business.

Bago ako makapasok sa Academy of Rock, bumalik ako ng school para mag-aral ng business entrepreneur. Pinitch niya [Enchong Dee] sa akin ‘tong Academy of Rock.

The investing part came easy as Garcia’s business partners share the same vision.

“‘Di rin nahirapan na mapa ‘yes,’ nag invest din talaga ako dito,

Hindi siya mahirap mahalin kasi alam mong may natutulungan kang tao. Alam mo para siya sa education ng iba, para sa elevation ng iba.

Mabait din sila lahat. Alam mong makakasundo kayo lahat. We have the same goal, the same vision for the school.”

Just like any business owner, he wants to see an expansion soon.

I’m just very optimistic sa school na ‘to. Gusto ko mas lumaki pa kami at makipag franchise sa ibang lugar para mas lumawak pa yung mga matutulungan namin,” he added.

This is his only second time investing in something big as he isn’t prepared yet to start a business of his own.

“‘Di pa ako nakapag decide magtayo ng sarili kong business so ginagawa ko ngayon is invest-invest sa kung ano-ano.

This is my second investment. Parang kong matuto sa mga business partners ko while I’m studying,” he said.

He also admitted that he stopped studying intermittently because the process was actually hard but will be coming back.

Parang ako lang kasi gumagawa lahat so mahirap talaga pero kakayanin.”

Garcia appeared on the upcoming Philippine drama television series Viral which will be aired on the Kapamilya Channel, A2Z, and worldwide via The Filipino Channel in 2021.
