Parents were invited to attend a moving-up ceremony to witness their children’s achievements but one of the graduates father was being judged as “pasikat” because of wearing his military uniform to the ceremony.
A Facebook user named Rashian Erica Dematera – whose father is a soldier- couldn’t help but defend her father from harsh comments due to wearing his uniform in attending the ceremony, with one even saying that he was just being “pasikat.”
In Dematera’s post, she explained that her father just finished his duty in Nueva Ecija and traveled just to attend her moving-up ceremony.
She also shared that even though her father was so tired, he still gave his time and effort just to attend her special day and did not even think of changing his clothes.
Dematera was deeply hurt, that despite her being proud and happy of her father’s effort, there were harsh comments she heard during the ceremony.
His father didn’t have the intention of showing off for being a soldier but to show his love for her daughter.
Her post went viral as it garnered over 28,000 shares and 197,000 reactions as she also found support from netizens.
