OFW recounts her unfortunate experience toward the people she misses; carries a heavy heart when she departs for abroad

  • Netizen posted about the unfortunate experience she had when she was in the Philippines.
  • The OFW did not expect the hurt that she felt after countless of body-shaming.

It’s not easy to sacrifice the time spent with your family to work abroad and hope for a better life for those you left behind.

Overseas Filipino Workers often look forward to coming home and finally spending time with those who matter the most. But one OFW didn’t exactly expect the reaction upon coming home after seven years.

OO DI AKO SEXY.

Bago pako umuwi ng Pinas, excited pako. I finally get to see the people I miss, the places I love & the food I haven’t tasted in a while. 7 years, it took us 7 years to visit our Mother Land. My expectations were above the roof kasi Pilipinas eh, that’s where I came from…

She said that when she came back, she was really happy, however, it was a complete turn-around when she left. She said that even if you’re someone that is confident with her body, people still had stuff to say against her figure.

I came back to the Philippines all smiles, I left with almost a depression I never thought I could have. Grabe pala noh? Ayoko pumatol, halos ayoko sana pumatol, pero the words I heard from the beginning until the end of this vacation was not acceptable. Oo mataba ako, di ko sinabing sexy ako.

Masagca got accused of editing her photos, got told off to lose some weight, said that she’s cursed to have such big legs, and not being considered pretty just because they think she’s fat.

Nasabihan akong,
“Nageedit ng profile picture ..” No I never did. Hello? There’s a thing called angle.

“Grabe kahit kelan di ka na talaga pumayat.” It’s my body structure, this is my built. Ano magagawa mo?

“Magdiet ka nga.” While I was trying to eat. ang bastos diba?

“Siguro sinumpa to nung bata pa kaya ganyan kalaki legs.” Girl? At ikaw pa talaga may ganang magsabi nyan?

She said that even though all they see is her smiling, it still hurts and she cried whenever she was alone. She said that she felt like she was useless during her vacation.

People never saw me cry, palagi lang ako nakasmile, pero everytime na alone ako, grabe ang sakit kapag nag synch in lahat. Ang sakit pala. Yung hopes ko para sa Pilipinas nawala. Nawalan nako ng gana.

Ayoko sa lahat magpost ng mahaba, pero kasi grabe, I was there to have fun, pero I spent most of my time thinking how useless piece of shit I was. I came home with confidence pouring out of me, I left with nothing but a depression I never thought I could ever feel.
