“FOUND GUILTY!” University of Santo Tomas expels Kyle Viray

  • Kyle Viray got expelled from the University of Sto, Tomas (UST).
  • Viray is found guilty of UST’s Code of Conduct and Discipline; prohibiting students to inflict injuries, physical or otherwise, on another person, whether inside or outside the campus.

It can be remembered that previous month, a student from the University of Santo Tomas named Kyle Viray has landed on the news due to his former girlfriend’s viral Twitter thread.

Viray has then been exposed as an abuser by several of his ex-girlfriends.

Due to the incident, the student had to render 250 hours community service, however, Netizens insisted that it was not enough.

A month after the controversy, The Varsitarian, which is UST’s official student publication, reported that Viray has been kicked out.

According to the publication, “Viray was found guilty anew of violating UST’s Code of Conduct and Discipline, and was “excluded” from the roll of students and “disqualified” from enrolling in any program offered by the University.”

A student from the UST-AMV College of Accountancy named Gil Nicole Morales was the one that formally filed the complaint of Viray’s physical abuse on six occasions in the past year, at different places, including the latter’s condominium unit.

Viray denied the allegations and claimed that he had no relations to her and the incidents stated were not true.

On July 26, Viray’s legal counsel said that his client would not appear in the scheduled July 30 hearing by The Office for Student Affairs.

He is found guilty of UST’s Code of Conduct and Discipline that prohibits students to inflict injuries, physical or otherwise, on another person, whether inside or outside the campus.
