Former child actor CJ Ramos was arrested by the authorities in a drug buy-bust operations on July 31. The Caloocan City Police caught Ramos in Tandang Sora, Quezon City, buying shabu worth Php500 from an alleged pusher named Louvella Gillen.
Gillen was the original target of the operation.
In a report by News5, Ramos said that he started using drugs 10 years ago and admitted that he also used the substance days days prior to the arrest.
“Mga three days ago [ako huling gumamit]. 10 years ago [ako nagsimulang mag-drugs].
“Pero nag-stop ako, mga two… almost three years. Ngayon na lang ulit kasi na-miss ko, e.”
This resulted to his positive drug tests.
Ramos admitted that his usage of the said substance has ruined his showbiz career. He stressed that he had to suffer such predicament since he chose such action.
“Kailangan kong pagdusahan ito, kasi ginusto ko ito, e. Wala, e, addictive talaga, e, mahirap iwasan. Pero naiwasan naman. Natsambahan lang.”
He has already undergone inquest proceedings for illegal possession of dangerous drugs.
CJ Ramos was a cast member of the 90s variety show Ang TV. He also became a part of the films Tumbasan Mo Ng Buhay, Tanging Yaman, and Ang TV Movie: The Adarna Adventure.
The actor appeared in several Cinemalaya films including Rekrut, Cuchera, and Posas.
