- Terrence Romeo gets involved in a bar fight in Tomas Morato, Quezon City
- The basketball player and the other camp has talked the situation out and has said to have made up
After the recent incident with the Gilas Pilipinas and Australian team at the FIBA World Cup Asian Qualifiers last July 2 at the Philippine Arena, basketball player Terrence Romeo and a few friends reportedly got involved in a bar brawl when a fan tried to take a photo of him outside Guilly’s bar in Tomas Morato.
The incident happened just after his TNT KaTropa lost to San Miguel Beer in the PBA quarterfinals.
Romeo was brought tot the Quezon City Police District station 10 but was later released after a certain Darwin Pilena advised that he and his group already settled the incident with the basketball player.
When the player was mobbed by the media outside the police station, he stated “Eto lang po sasasabihin ko: check niyo lang yung CCTV. Pagkatapos niyo i-check yung CCTV sa Guilly’s, tsaka niyo ako balikan,”.
He then posted on Twitter, saying that there’s no need to make a fuss regarding the situation.
im in my house right now. Im not held up in any prison or station. No need to make a fuss. Watch the cctv i believe its somewhere in social media right now.I didnt do anything.Let the video speak for itself.Anyway both camps are okay naman na. Goodnight
At a recent DZMM interview with a woman present during the incident, she stated that she and her husband were trying to take a photo with the basketball player, but when they asked for another one, someone suddenly threw a punch.
“Una po, nakapagpapicture na kami kina Terrence. Pangalawa po, pauwi na kami, nagpapaalam po kami para magpapicture po ulit. Nagulat na lang po kami may bigla pong sumapak.
Hanggang sa nagkagulo na po, Napailalim na po ‘yung binugbog nila.” she narrated.
An unverified CCTV footage of the fight has made rounds on social media websites.
