A Netizen recently commented on Maymay’s Instagram post implying that the PBB grand winner was just pretending not to be fluent in English while she was in Pinoy Big Brother: Lucky 7 house.

The comment tried to shed some sort of a reality that Entrata is no ignorant about the language since her course in college was Mass Communication.

I have a question maymay. Why did you pretend to not know how to speack English at PBB when your university course was mass comm?

Maymay defended herself that she didn’t take the college program because she was good in English, but rather it’s her weakness. She added that it was not her fault if she still needed to improve her skills.

hindi naman po kailangan pumili ng kurso dahil yun ang strength mo. Pinili ko ang kursong yun dahil yun ang weakness ko di ko naman po kasalanan na hanggang gnayon ay kailangan paring matuto po diba?

Edward Barber posted on his Instagram story regarding his take on the issue. He wrote that basing someone’s intelligence is on how they treat others and not on what college program they took.

In today’s digital age, base someone’s intelligence on the way they treat others, not the course they take. And ask yourself, are you treating yourself the way you want to be treated? Are you “intelligent”?

Food for thought.

Maymay also got criticized as she was mentioned by Miss Universe-Philippines 2018 Catriona Gray as her bet to portray her on a Maalaala Mo Kaya episode. The beauty queen immediately defended her choice by saying that she sees nothing wrong with what she said.
