The question remains, will the award-winning musical theater actress Joanna Ampil be making more movies after bagging the Best Actress trophy at the Metro Manila Film Festival 2017?

Joanna answers

“When I did my first scene in ‘Ang Larawan,’ I was enjoying myself. From that moment on, I knew I wanted to do more movies,” she briefly answered. After making the best out of “Miss Saigon,” “Les Miserables,” “Jesus Christ Superstar,” and “Avenue Q”, Ampil revealed that playing Candida Marasigan on the big screen gave her a totally different perspective in doing films.

When asked if she will be willing to stretch her stay in the Philippines to do more movies, she declared, “If that’s what I’m called to do then yes, I’ll do it.”

Nothing can ever make Joanna Ampil change her mind with her craft. “I’m up for any challenge. I’m an actor, I’m an artist,” she said vowing to do anything for art.
