During the recent launch of Philippine Red Cross‘ humanitarian vessel, M/V Amazing Grace, President Rodrigo Duterte was not able to contain his emotions and spilled his possible presidential bet in 2022.
In a statement, he said that Senator Richard “Dick” Gordon might be the country’s next president.
“We have to give it to president Gordon. I have to get used to it. I’m sorry, Mr. President. It’s only about a few more years,” he bantered.
Looking back
It can be remembered that Gordon is a good ally of Duterte in the senate. Despite losing the presidential position to PNoy, Gordon remains optimistic way back in 2010.
This new humanitarian vessel of the Philippine Red Cross will soon be used during emergencies. May we hope for its maximum function and long-lasting quality.
