The Cachupoy hairstyle is back!

  • Cachupoy hairstyle is back.
  • The 90’s hairstyle with a modern twist.
Celebrities and social media influencers specifically men, are showing something familiar in the 90’s. And If you are a fan of anime, you may have noticed this or if you are “batang 90’s” we are pretty sure that you certainly be hitting the bandwagon right now, memories right?
Lately, Cachupoy hairstyle has been seen on TV and in social media. As Anne Curtis poked fun at Vice Ganda’s new hairdo, which he reiterated that he is sporting Gong Yoo‘s hairstyle in a Korean TV series Goblin.

But who started this men’s hairstyle? Dailypedia went on to investigate.
Salvador Garcia Tampac (July 11, 1932 – January 1, 2008) or better known by his screen name Cachupoy was a Filipino actor-comedian back in the 60’s to early 90’s. He was famously known for his trademark  hair do that’s parted in the middle, he was a mainstay of the Magandang Tanghali television program.
And just like that, this men’s hairstyle is back and with sheer confidence – you too can sport this look with a modern take of course.

Here are some of celebrities that we’ve seen sporting this look lately – the Cachupoy hairstyle!
