The recent blessing and inauguration of a 10.9M pedestrian overpass project in Bacolod City did not take immunity from the cruel opinions of netizens.
Overpriced project?
As posted by The Visayan Daily Star on Facebook, the said overpass had a contract price of 9.8M, of which the structural steel alone costs 5.6M. These numbers are in accordance with the statement of Abraham Villareal, the district engineer of the Department of Public Works and Highways.

With the citizens of Barangay Mansilingan in Bacolod reaching out for further attention from the public, netizens did not disappoint.
Despite the lack of investigations of this project, netizens remain vocal to their disgust with the overpass.
