Woman Shares Inspiring Story Of Three Kids Who Sell Ice Candy On The Streets Despite The Extreme Heat

  • Facebook user named Zarah Palad shared the inspiring story of three kids she met on a jeepney.
  • According to her, the kids were selling ice candy regardless of the extreme heat and the little pennies they get as a commission for selling those.

Kids are known to be the happy-go-lucky kind of people – which is acceptable since they are still young and there are things they don’t understand just yet.

For the children, it is their time to enjoy their youth and play around as things will be tougher when they grow up that they won’t be able to enjoy that much anymore.

While most children spend their time playing games with their friends, there are some who are matured enough to realize that they need to help their parents at an early age.

The story of the three of the kids who strives to help their parents in financial aspects was shared by Zarah Palad to the Facebook community.

Her post instantly went viral given the fact that their story was truly moving.

Read her inspiring post below:

Met these three kids on my way to Guiguinto.

“Kuya magbabayad po kami,” sabi nung mga bata bago sila sumakay sa jeep bitbit yung mga colorful boxes.

I was really eager to talk to them the moment they stepped foot inside the jeepney but was a bit hesitant because I didn’t wanna look like a creep. So while waiting for the perfect timing I just decided to listen to their conversation.”

One day, while Palad was riding a jeep, three kids entered the vehicle saying that they would pay. Normally, there are some street kids who would jump on a jeepney out of the blue to get a free ride which is why some drivers are hesitant whenever a group of kids hangs around their vehicles.

She wanted to talk to them as soon as they rode the jeepney, but she decided to listen to their conversation before doing so.

Palad was surprised to hear what the kids were talking about.

“Sulitin na natin yung sabado’t linggo na pwede tayo magtinda para may baon tayo”

“Mas okay nga yung ganito eh may ginagawa tayo pag sabado’t linggo”

“Basta ha kelangan maubos tong tinda natin, lahat tayo dapat ubos”

These are just some of the exchanged convos of those kids that truly moved me.”

The conversation that the children had, inspired her in many ways.

While some of us complain about our life and school, other kids their age are probably busy playing games with their gadgets, some might be throwing tantrums at their parents for not buying the things they wanted and who knows, you might be one of those that are wasting time doing nothing right now; YET these kids are selling ice candy salad amidst the heat, hindi alintana yung init, yung rejection ng mga taong hindi bibili; kasamang bitbit ng mga paninda ay positibong pananaw sa buhay. THESE KIDS ARE SEIZING EVERY MOMENT THEY COULD TO NOT WASTE TIME AND SUPPORT THEIR STUDIES.

What, then, is your excuse?

She shared that while there are some who whines and complains about their lives, these children were striving hard just to support their own studies.

Despite the extreme heat and the rejection from people who didn’t want to buy, the three kids were still hopeful and determined to sell everything they carried that day.

They live around Bangkal Malolos but they will be selling in Balagtas because “marami daw pong tao dun” SO PLEASE PLEASE IF ANY OF YOU LIVES NEAR AND SEE THESE KIDS. BILI KAYO SA KANILA PLEAAAASE!!! PLEAAASEEE!!!! And if its not too much ask, please join me in prayers for them.

Thank you for inspiring me John Paul, Kenneth and Joshua! God bless you three!!! Sana maubos nyo mga tinda nyo, sana makita ko kayo sa church, sana makita nyo to and see how you are inspiring so many other people as well.. KUDOS AND HATS OFF TO YOU KIDDOS!!!

Paloma was able to have a little chat with the kids and had known what their names were.

Moreover, she encouraged the netizens who are close to the area to buy from them whenever they get a chance to do so as a little help for them. Also, she thanked them for changing her and other people’s perspective in life.

On the other hand, the netizens shared that they had also encountered the kids as they had been selling in different places as well. They even commented that their ice candies taste good despite its cheap price.

Upon seeing how these children work hard, what are our reasons why some of us can’t do the same? If these little kids are able to sacrifice for a few pennies, we should be able to do more.

These kids had been an inspiration for many for showing a positive attitude regardless of how much they would be able to take home at the end of the day.

How about you? What are your opinions on this matter?
