Results are out!
The Supreme Court of the Philippines finally released the list of BAR Exams Passers for 2016, and everyone is in tears! While everyone who passed is surely over-joyed right now, one can notice that there is no one to represent the Law Schools in Metro Manila. All of the topnotchers came from provincial universities. Says a lot, right?
It just shows that no school holds the monopoly of academic excellence in the country, even the “Big 4”.

Comparison aside, let’s be proud our new lawyers as 3,747 passers are set to take an oath soon. Meanwhile, looking at the List of Topnotchers, University of San Carlos outshines the rest of the universities as they dominate the list with 4 entries, including Top 1. 1 entry short is Siliman University with 3 topnotchers under its school pride.
Beautiful Moment Caught On Cam
Who would believe that the Top 1 and Top 7 topnotchers are working at the same company, and are actually good friends? As the list was announced, they are at work and instantly hugged each other upon seeing their names on the Top 10 list.
This heart-warming moment was caught on camera by their workmate, Kristelle Lopez.
Kristelle initially posted an image saying that the topnotcher belongs to their company.
The netizens appreciated the picture and lauded Karen Calam and Anne Momongan for their great achievement.
Karen topped 6,830 BAR Exams Takers for 2016 with 89.05%, and she is a former Tax Senior Associate at SGV & Co.
Her schoolmate and workmate, on the other hand, ranked 7 with a score of 87.80%

It’s a momentous event as women dominated the topnotchers list as it happened only once in a while. 8 women passers completed the list and only 4 male takers made it to Top 10.
