LOOK: This Informative Map Shows People What Their Country Stands Out For

Everyone is best at doing something, that’s for sure. But have you ever thought of what every country is known for or what specific area are they best in?

Fret not, because this educational map tells people all over the world what your country is best at doing.

A team from Information is Beautiful, made an extensive research and wide-range data gathering to be able to create this bizarre map. They compiled valuable data from CIA, World Bank, Reuters, Bloomberg, The Economist, UN, Forbes, BBC and more. The researchers were David McCandless, Stephanie Smith and Esther Kersley.

The map provides the most shocking and hilarious details about specific countries. The pollsters divided the information into a few categories specifically: Commodity, Psychology, Ecology, Gastronomy, Economy, Nicety, Humanity, Technology and Nasty. However, there were some which were not included for the reason that the team couldn’t find anything relevant.

According to their data, UK is best at producing the most billionaires. Lithuania has the fastest WI-FI, while Togo has the highest rate of unhappiness.

Furthermore, Philippines is identified as the best at Social Networking. Nigeria has the most number of child brides, whereas Botswana got the utmost supply of diamonds.

Honduras is acknowledged for murders, and the United States is superlative when it comes to spam emails.

Mr. McCandless said, “It took three weeks of solid work to complete the map, a process that required roving news articles, rifling big databanks and doing specific Google searches. Where there were multiple options for some countries, we chose the most interesting or entertaining possibility – and kept the alternatives in the datasheet. We tried to have really good quality sources for each entry. But we bent our own ‘information is beautiful’ rules a little to include the occasional lower quality secondary source just to try to hit our goal and finding something for every country. It’s meant as a light-hearted graphic.”
