GrabCar driver allegedly cancels ride; insults customer

MANILA, Philippines. A certain Faith Josiah shared her unpleasant experience with an arrogant GrabCar driver she identified as Elvin Dela Cruz Evangelista through a Facebook post made on Saturday, July 30.

According to Faith, she decided to book GrabCar to go to her friend’s baby shower to save herself from traffic and parking issues. While waiting for the driver at the pickup point, Faith was asked by Evangelista to cancel the ride as he was already on his way to Marikina.

Instead of cancelling the ride, Faith insisted that Evangelista be the one to cancel it since it was his fault. To her surprise, Evangelista responded with an insult telling Faith she must be ugly.

Here’s a screenshot of their conversation.

After reporting the incident to GrabCar, Faith received an update that the company will investigate the matter.

“After at least 48 hours, Grab responded that they will investigate what happened. Hopefully, they’d really do something about their arrogant drivers,” Faith wrote in her post.
