The Voice Kids’ Lyca Garainod launches her debut album “Puede Nang Mangarap”

“Masayang masaya po kami na lahat po kami nagkakaroon ng album,” said The Voice Kids Philippines Season 1 grandchampion Lyca Garainod during her album launching on July 13.

(“We are happy we’re all having  albums.”)

Lyca cleared she has no issue with The Voice Kids’ 1st runner up Darren Espanto, who first released his own album ahead of her and conquered MOA Arena last May.

Even though it took a long wait to produce her own album, she’s happy that finally it’s already out and she hopes fans will be glad with her new offering, she added.

When she was asked if she’s ready to hold a concert just like the 14-year old singer?’, the small biritera replied: “hindi pa po, pagtanda tanda ko nalang po kasi po mahirap magconcert kasi mga 20 songs tsaka medyo bata pa po boses ko.”

(“Not yet. When I get old [I will] because it’s not easy to hold a concert [and sing] 20 songs and at the same time my voice is still small.”)

Meanwhile, her much-anticipated debut album entitled Puede Nang Mangarap features the carrier single of the same title composed by Jungee Marcelo. It perfectly describes her journey from the time she started up to now that she has her new album.

Other exciting tracks that are part of the album are “Malalampasan” (Noel Mahinay), “Sa Isang Awit” (Andrei Chua Gungon), “Ngumiti Ka Lang” (Muriel Ann “Sisa” Jamito, Emman D’ Great and Jaydee Chua Gungon) and “Kung Kaya Mong Isipin” (Jude Gitamondoc).

Inspirational Diva Jamie Rivera also contributed a song to Lyca—the playful and fun track “Tayo Ay Maglaro” which is about bringing back the traditional games Filipino children play like “tumbang preso,” “patintero,” and “piko.”

Lyca also has her own cover of the melancholic song “Iingatan Ka,” popularized by Carol Banawa. The song is dedicated to her mother for always being there for her. The album also includes a remix version of the carrier single, “Puede Nang Mangarap” while the digital version includes some recorded covers of her performance from The Voice Kids.

“Puede Nang Mangarap” is finally out in  record bars. See the official music video of “Puede Nang Mangarap” below.
