Hope for ‘Game of Thrones’ fans: Jon Snow Joins Cast and Crew in Belfast

Shock and heartbreak over a character’s death are “normal” emotions viewers feel when watching the immensely popular fantasy series Game of Thrones. But the finale of season five had fans aggrieved even more than usual as it ended with the death of everyone’s favorite b@s%$rd, Jon Snow.

As if struggling with the first stage of grief, denial, fans expressed hope and disbelief, exclaiming “well, he wasn’t exactly beheaded, he could come back, right?” And with the show finally catching up with the A Song of Ice and Fire books, the novels offered no “spoilers” this time as to the fate of he who knows nothing. Still, fans dare to hope.

That flicker of hope grew a little bit as actor Kit Harington was spotted at this year’s Wimbledon. Not such a big deal at first, many celebrities flock to watch tennis’ premiere event. But wait, plucky fans were quick to point out that Harington was still sporting his signature Jon Snow wavy, raven-black locks. If the character is indeed dead as a door nail, as showrunners and the actor himself profess, why hadn’t Harington had his hair and beard shorn yet?

Separation anxiety issues, perhaps? Aha, but Jon Snow fans, let that flicker of hope rage into a burning flame! Breaking news comes from GoT community website, the Watchers on the Wall!

Kit Harington, locks all tied in a man-bun, but still long-haired and bearded has just been spotted at Belfast where Game of Thrones is currently filming. An eagle-eyed fan named Lucy spotted Harington and fellow cast member Tom Wlaschiha (Jaqen H’ghar) on the same flight she was taking from London to Belfast. She also took a few quick snaps of Harington and submitted them to the site.

While it may be possible that he may only be re-joining production to shoot flashback scenes or dead-body-in-coffin scenes, we can only wait for the next season to see, perhaps it’s safe to say that Jon Snow DOES know something! Sneaky b@s%$rd!
