“With HERO4 Session, we challenged ourselves to produce the smallest, lighest, most convenient GoPro possible,” said Nicholas Woodman, GoPro founder and CEO.“HERO4 Session combines the best of our engineering and user-experience know-how to deliver our most convenient life-capture solution, yet.”

HERO4 Session records GoPro-quality 1080p60, 720p100 and 1440p30 videos and captures 8MP Single photos, 10fps Burst photos and .50-.60 second Time Lapse shots. It also includes some features found in GoPro’s best-selling HERO4 Black and Silver cameras, including Superview, Protune and Auto Low Light recording modes. You can also access set of controls and settings using the GoPro App (downloadable in App store and Google Play store) or Smart Remote and it’s built-in Wi-Fi + Bluetooth enables to control camera remotely, view and share content easily.

HERO4 Session is easy to use with its one-button. A short press of the shutter button quickly powers on the camera and starts video recording automatically. A long press of the shutter button enables to capture images in Time Lapse mode. To save video or photo content and power off the camera, press shutter button again.

A dual microphone system dynamically switches sound recording between microphones to reduce winds noise and enhance audio in high speed or windy environments.

“At GoPro, sound quality is as important as image quality and we’re very excited about the stunning audio advancements we’ve made with HERO4 Session during water-based and windy activities. It’s incredible what this little GoPro can capture,” Woodman added.
