Guest complains about alleged infestation of bed bugs in Tune Hotel Malate

In a video posted by user Founder Eljan on YouTube, a creepy crawly identified as a “surot” (bed bug) could be seen moving across white/cream-colored bed sheets.

The video was short and only showed the bed, without showing the room features, but the customer alleged that this was taken in Tune Hotel Malate.

According to the video description, the customer had stayed at the hotel twice – with the first time going quite well, so they chose the hotel for their second stay. However, he was surprised to see his baby constantly scratching without apparent reason. After some searching, he realized bed bugs were living underneath the bed they were sleeping on in this hotel.

The customer said he did not expect to find bed bugs as the room actually looked impeccable. He complained about the alleged bed bug infestation to the hotel management and was told they will be transferred to another room. He was also allegedly told by housekeeping staff that the bed bugs probably came from previous customers who was checked in at the hotel for an extended stay.

It is understandable that the customer is complaining about the bed bugs as these pesky little creatures can be quite annoying; their bites, very itchy. We could only imagine the baby’s suffering after it was repeatedly bitten by the bed bug.

We hope the hotel’s management can find a way to deal with this problem so that future guests will have a better stay than what this family experienced.

NOTE: The DailyPedia is still waiting for the hotel management’s response on this issue.
