VIDEO: Comedian Arnell Ignacio gets engaged to singer Ken Psalmer

In recent years, same sex relationships are now slowly being accepted by Philippine society, especially among celebrities. Last year, singer-actress Aiza Seguerra married theater actress Liza Dino. And recently, another celebrity made news by a surprise proposal to his singer-boyfriend.

Former game show icon, comedian, and now talent manager, Arnell Ignacio proposed to his singer-boyfriend Ken Psalmer. The proposal was set after the wedding of the couple’s friends at the Diamond Hotel, which according to their friends, was a very touching moment for everyone who witnessed it. Even the crew and staff of the hotel paused to witness their special moment.

The surprise proposal started with renowned musician Jay Cayuca playing the violin to the couple. According to Abante, Arnell said the sweetest lines to Ken and buckled while delivering them because of his nervousness. However, he was able to get down on one knee and put the engagement ring on Ken, for what their friends describe as a successful proposal. After Arnell put the ring on Ken, he also presented another ring, which Ken put on Arnell. The couple wore a matching engagement-promise ring. Both Arnell and Ken were teary-eyed. The proposal happened on June 3, 2015.

I have seen the rainbow for so many times…but I only realized that rainbows have colors when I met you. I immeasurably love you Ken Psalmer!

Ken Psalmer is an up and coming singer managed by Arnell Ignacio. He also has been a front act for several concerts and just recently made a guest appearance on the show Letters and Music on the Eagle Broadcasting Network.

The couple has not decided on a wedding date yet.
