VIDEO: ‘Cute Psalmist’ covers ‘Payphone’ and ‘Runaway’

Can you still remember the ‘Cute Psalmist’ who caught the attention of netizens during Pope Francis’ mass at the Manila Cathedral?

He is Kenneth Rey Parsad, known as the ‘Cute Psalmist’ who sang “Forever, I will sing of the goodness of the Lord” during Pope Francis’ first mass in the country on January 16 at the Manila Cathedral. The 22-year-old seminarian has caught netizens’ eyes and became an internet sensation for his looks and of course his good voice.

This maybe not the original video but Parsad’s ‘Payphone’ cover by Maroon 5 was reuploaded on YouTube was drawing attention from netizens especially those those who became his instant fans. The music-loving Abra native caught the attention of social media users during the papal mass because of his good looks and voice.

Parsad also did a ‘Runaway’ song cover by Corrs.

While the 22-year-old seminarian is thankful for the attention and appreciation he got during Pope Francis’ Manila Cathedral mass, he said he is more grateful for the chance to be a psalmist for a papal mass.
