Esthechoc: “World’s First Beauty Chocolate” That Fights The Signs Of Ageing

Are you one of those people who are too anxious about sagging skin and wrinkles?

Good news! There’s a newly-invented product that serves as anti-ageing solution. No, you don’t have to apply it on your skin; you just have to chow on it.

Named “Esthechoc”, this chocolate brand comes from Cambridge University. This brainchild of Dr. Ivan Petyaev, a former research at the said campus and founder of biotech firm Lycotec, he , along with a group of researchers spent a decade to  test the chocolate bar’s potency among 3,000 people who went through the  experiment.

The scientists asked the volunteers to include the chocolate in their daily food for four consecutive weeks. When the trial ended, the people were happy about the result. “We used people in their 50s and 60s and in terms of skin biomarkers we found it had brought skin back to the levels of a 20 or 30 year old. So we’ve improved the skin’s physiology,” said the Dr.

Esthechoc is so rich in antioxidants that its developers believe it can enhance your skin.

Deemed to be the “world’s first beauty chocolate,” the product will be launched at London’s Global Food Technology & Innovation Summit.

According to Dr. Petyaev, the sweet treat contains the same antioxidant that keeps the goldfish gold and flamingos pink. “In clinical trials we saw that inflammation in the skin starting to go down and the tissues began to benefit. We used people in their 50s and 60s and in terms of skin biomarkers we found it had brought skin back to the levels of a 20- or 30-year-old,” he added.

One 7.5-gram chocolate bar has about the same amount of flavanol as chocolate bars more than ten times the size of Esthechoc.

The sweet treat is also full of anti-inflammatory astaxanthin, equivalent to 10oz salmon serving.

You don’t have to worry about your diet as the brand only contains 38 calories.

Though many are looking forward to Esthechoc, some are asking how much will this cost them to indulge in the product.
