UFC Announces First Ever Event in Manila

UFC fans have reason to celebrate because the much-anticipated UFC Fight Night Manila event will finally come to fruition this coming May 16, 2015. Fans who heard the awesome news also enjoyed learning that the event will take place at the SM Mall of Asia Arena – one of the grandest venues for such a historical event.

This will be the first time that a UFC fight night will be held in Manila and will be the only one to take place in South East Asia this year, says Mr. Edgar Tejerero, the President of SM Lifestyle Entertainment. According to him, SM is excited to be the chosen venue for this event, especially because this is in line with the company’s plans to bring lots of exciting events to the Philippines.

With the UFC popular across the world, including the Philippines, the upcoming UFC Fight Night Manila event is expected to draw thousands of fans. However, tickets will only be sold starting March, so you’d better keep your eyes open else the tickets are sold out before you get your hands on one.

As with other UFC events, this one will also be televised and broadcasted across the world yet fans are surely going to love to be part of the show so they are expected to flock to the SM Mall of Asia for the event.

Does this mean people will be camping out outside the ticket outlets for a chance to watch the event? This is highly likely! Ticket prices have not been announced yet but you can expect to shell out a couple of hundreds or perhaps thousands to watch the UFC Fight Night Manila event. Though I don’t think this would deter people from buying tickets to the show.

The Philippines is not the first in South East Asia to host a UFC fight night as places like Japan, Singapore, and China had already hosted fights which attracted tens of thousands of fans. With thousands of Filipino UFC fans, we can expect the tickets to be sold out within days of their release. So, be ready to camp out to buy your tickets. Remember, tickets will be on sale beginning in March.
