Vasyl Lomachenko retains his WBO featherweight title with a 120-107 score on all three cards.

Even during the early rounds, Lomachenko clearly dominated over Piriyapinyo – despite the latter being the crowd favorite and having more experience.

Watch Lomachenko knock down Piriyapinyo here:

What’s so amazing about this match is that even though he injured his hand around halfway through the match, Lomachenko showed everyone who is boss!

Piriyapinyo was no match to the two-time Olympic gold medalist who was even fighting using just one hand after his left hand was injured during the seventh round. Of course, Lomachenko was not able to hit Piriyapinyo with more punches starting the 7th round, but he managed to pull through.

undercard 2-1

Looking at the score cards, you can see that the judges had firm belief in his powers: 120-107. All three judges gave the same score! It really is remarkable.

This is something many boxing analysts had predicted. They were not able to predict the one-handed punches, of course, but they able to predict that Lomachenko will win because Piriyapinyo is too soft for him and only won in allegedly “padded fights”.
