Deniece Cornejo brings out the competition between this two reporters from GMA News and TV5 News on who has the right to be granted an exclusive interview on September 18 when she was about to leave the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group on a van. The controversial interview was caught on camera by Inquirer and was posted on their official YouTube account. The argument is about Deniece’s commitment with the GMA News reporter Sareema Refran and TV5 News’ arrangement with her parents for an exclusive interview.
Deniece had been detained at the CIDG in Camp Crame in Quezon City while on trial for assault and serious illegal detention filed against her by TV host Vhong Navarro.
Based on this video, GMA News won! The incident was recorded last Thursday September 18, 2014 but it was only on Tuesday, that the video was uploaded online.
