“You’re Making A Difference.” Watch This Very Powerful Message To ALS Ice Bucket Challenge Skeptics

Eversince the ALS ice bucket challenge began, the fundraising boon has been continuously raising support  for the ALS foundation. Up to now, many people are still making their efforts to show support by pouring ice water over their heads and tagging people to take the challenge. Those who refuse to participate can donate to the charity. A good cause that helped reach $31.5 million in donations as of August 20, 2014. Among those who finished their rounds were Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg, Justin Timberlake, Lady Gaga, and more.

But in every good cause, I guess it comes with people who find reason to grumble about everything. Enter the ice bucket haters there. You’ll find them asking questions like why do they have to do that? Why can’t they just donate? You are wasting water, etc. etc. etc.

Recently, a man named Anthony Carbajal answers these skeptics with a powerful video he uploaded on YouTube.

For starters, Carbajal is a 26-year-old guy who happens to be in the family with ALS. His grandmother suffered from ALS, his mother was diagnosed when he was in high school, and a few months ago, he found out he has the condition too.

“I apologize for my rant and for my tears, but if I simply dump ice on my head I don’t think you’re really gonna get the point. This is the first successful advocacy we’ve really ever had, and I am so, so grateful. You have no idea how every single challenge makes me feel, lifts my spirits, lifts every single ALS patient’s spirits. You’re really, truly making a difference,” he says.

In this short clip, you will see the true condition of a person having ALS. A very honest video that will break your heart. So grab that tissue and see for yourself what I’m talking about.
