Baguio City – A few days ago, Ericka, a 15-year-old grade 8 student of Pines National High School, went missing. After days of searching, the parents found her dead body at a mountain side at Amsing, Pacdal. Based on reports, she had 11 stab wounds on her face and several on her body. A gruesome scene for parents to see.
This led the family to file a case against her boyfriend Jason Rebolledo, a 23-year old call center agent whom Ericka met on Facebook. According to them and her classmates statements, the girl’s attitude changed from being funny and kind to being unusually silent when she started dating Rebolledo.
Days after the folks found out about the relationship, they asked their daughter to stop it immediately. They even went to DSWD, had her checked for a medical exam, then to the police, and record a case for Seduction of Minor.
A week after this happened, Ericka went missing. Together with the DSWD and Police officials, the family searched everywhere. When they were about to post her picture at the Pacdal Barangay Hall, someone approached them saying that she looked like the unidentified girl who was found dead earlier at the mountain side. They went directly at the La Paz Funeral Homes where they identified that the dead body is their daughter’s.
Upon examination, the police found out that Ericka’s been dead for at least 3 days.
As of writing, the latest report about the case is that Rebolledo was accompanied by his parents when he surrendered to the police. He is now being interrogated at the Baguio City Police. The family also took a lawyer to defend their side.
