Mono No Aware emerged as the biggest winner at the 3rd Puregold CinePanalo Film Festival, collecting nine awards, including Best Picture, Best Director and Best Actor, while Xyriel Manabat secured the Best Actress trophy for her comedic performance in Stuck on You.
Directed by BC Amparado, Mono No Aware dominated the full-length competition, winning Panalong Pelikula (Best Picture), the International Jury Award, Best Director for Amparado, Best Actor for Juan Karlos Labajo and Best Supporting Actress for Momoko Kobayashi.
The film also received Best Ensemble, Best Cinematography for TM Malones, Best Editing for Edmund Telmo and Best Sound Design for Willie Apa Jr.
Three other full-length entries—Apol of My Ai, Multwoh (Patay na Patay Sa’yo) and Patay Gutom (Dead Hungry)—followed with four awards each, while Stuck on You earned two recognitions.
Among the evening’s notable acting winners, Xyriel took home Best Actress for Stuck on You, while Zanjoe Marudo and young actor Zion Cruz were recognized for their performances in Apol of My Ai, winning Best Supporting Actor and Best Child Performer, respectively.
The Student Shorts competition also delivered a close contest between Limlim and Kun Hain, Bisan Diin, with both films receiving four awards apiece.
Samantha Palaje of Limlim and Jomarie Corro-Reyes of Kun Hain, Bisan Diin shared the Best Director award following a tie in the category.
Limlim, however, secured the competition’s highest distinction, winning Best Student Short Film. It also earned Best Cinematography for Geia de Vera and Best Child Performer for Zoey Madison Lim.
Meanwhile, Kun Hain, Bisan Diin received the Jury Prize, Best Screenplay for Corro-Reyes and William Roberts, and Best Editing for Brian Spencer Reyes.
Puregold CinePanalo Festival Chair Ivy Hayagan-Piedad emphasized the importance of recognizing the talent, artistry and dedication of Filipino filmmakers, noting that the festival continues to celebrate storytellers who bring fresh voices and perspectives to Philippine cinema.

CinePanalo films continue screening until October 4
Audiences still have until Sunday, October 4, to catch the participating films at Gateway Cineplex 18, TriNoma, Fairview Terraces, Ayala Malls Feliz, Ayala Malls Circuit, Ayala Malls Manila Bay and Market! Market!
Regular tickets are priced at ₱250, while discounted admission costs ₱200 for persons with disabilities, senior citizens, students, national athletes, and Aling Puring and Puregold Perks cardholders.
A ₱2,000 festival pass is also available, providing access to all seven full-length films and four screening sets featuring 19 student shorts. Festival passes may be purchased at Gateway Cineplex 18 and TriNoma.
