Bam Aquino gets vital lift from INC, JIL endorsements

Aquino placed 11th in the latest Pulse Asia survey conducted from April 20 to 24.

Two of the country’s largest religious organizations have endorsed the senatorial bid of former Senator Bam Aquino, further boosting his chances in Monday’s elections.

The influential Iglesia Ni Cristo (INC) included Aquino among its eight endorsed senatorial candidates, as shown by sample ballots distributed to its members nationwide.

The Jesus Is Lord (JIL) Church also named Aquino as one of its preferred candidates for the Senate.

“Taos-pusong pasasalamat kay Executive Minister Eduardo Manalo at sa buong Iglesia Ni Cristo (INC) sa inyong tiwala at pag-indorso sa aking kandidatura. Patuloy po nating pagtatrabahuhan na makamit ang magandang buhay para sa bawat pamilyang Pilipino,” the former Senator said.

Aquino also thanked the JIL for their trust and support, as well as Senator Joel Villanueva for facilitating the meeting with the JIL National Executive Committee.

“Thank you very much to the Jesus is Lord Church for endorsing my candidacy for senator. I am truly grateful for your trust and support,” he said.

The endorsements provide Aquino a significant lift ahead of the elections, as the two religious groups have millions of members across the country.

Aquino placed 11th in the latest Pulse Asia survey conducted from April 20 to 24.
