Filipinos are known to be one of the most beautiful people around the world, and just recently another Pinay made it to People Magazine’s Most Beautiful for 2015.
Shay Mitchell, whose mother hails from Pampanga, is one of the stars of “Pretty Little Liars” on ABC. She is also a second cousin of internationally renowned Tony Awardee theater actress and The Voice Philippines judge, Lea Salonga.
Shay was first a model before landing her role as Emily in the ABC TV show “Pretty Little Liars”. What was interesting about this Pinay-Canadian actress was that she wanted to be “white” just like other Filipinas when she was younger. Back then, she would avoid being exposed under the sun so her skin would not get tanned. She would even wear contacts to mask her Filipino roots.
But things are now different for the Hollywood actress. Her dream of becoming an actress was just once part of a vision board. And now that she has been hailed as one of the world’s most beautiful by People Magazine for 2015, Shay will definitely a brighter future in Hollywood!
