GoodZone, Project PEARLS mark milestone as 61 children overcome malnutrition in two months

Project PEARLS said the milestone demonstrates what can be achieved when nonprofit organizations, private-sector partners, volunteers, and advocates work together toward a common goal.

GoodZone and nonprofit organization Project PEARLS celebrated a significant milestone in their child nutrition program after 61 out of 200 beneficiaries were declared free from malnutrition just two months into the initiative.

The achievement was recognized during the partners’ 2nd Weigh-In Party, where children took part in Nutrition Month activities, enjoyed a communal meal, and celebrated their improved health.

According to Project PEARLS, the program’s early results highlight the impact of sustained nutrition support and community collaboration.

“Together with GoodZone, our partner for this mission, we celebrated our 2nd Weigh-In Party with Mika Salamanca, and the results speak for themselves. 61 out of 200 children are now free from malnutrition, just two months into the program.”

The organization emphasized that its intervention goes beyond feeding programs by providing continuous care and support to children and their families.

“We continue to walk alongside children and families who need it most, not just through a single feeding, but through consistent, hands-on care that leads to real, lasting change.”

Content creator and author Mika Salamanca also joined the celebration, spending time with the children by reading stories and donating copies of books she personally authored.

Project PEARLS said Mika’s visit brought additional joy to the event.

“We are glad that Mika Salamanca also joined the fun, warming hearts by reading to the children and donating books she authored herself.”

The organization likewise expressed its appreciation to GoodZone for its continued partnership in addressing child malnutrition.

“Maraming salamat, The Good Zone and Mika, for putting healthy smiles on our children’s faces. This is what community is all about!”

Project PEARLS said the milestone demonstrates what can be achieved when nonprofit organizations, private-sector partners, volunteers, and advocates work together toward a common goal.

“Every child reached is a testament to what’s possible when communities, partners, and advocates come together with the same heart: to protect, nourish, and give every child a real chance at a better future.”

While celebrating the progress made so far, the organization said it remains committed to helping all 200 children enrolled in the program achieve healthy nutritional status.

“Here’s to reaching every one of our 200 children, one story, one child, one victory at a time.”

Project PEARLS also encouraged individuals and organizations to support its ongoing nutrition, education, and community development initiatives to help sustain the program’s impact.
