Ivana Alawi praises inclusive hiring at Brilliant Skin Essentials Inc.

With a growing nationwide network of franchisees and distributors, Brilliant Skin Essentials further reinforces its position not just as a leading skincare brand, but as a company advocating for equal opportunity in the workplace.

Actress and content creator Ivana Alawi commended Brilliant Skin Essentials Inc. for its inclusive workplace practices, particularly its employment of persons with disabilities (PWDs).

The company, owned by skincare entrepreneur Glenda Dela Cruz—popularly known as “Miss Glenda”—currently has over 1,000 employees nationwide, including 11 PWDs integrated into its workforce.

Ivana made the remarks following a visit to one of the company’s production facilities, where she personally met and interacted with employees.

“Isa sa mga nakakatuwa dito sa Brilliant Skin—meron silang mga PWD. Hinahayaan talaga nila magtrabaho. Talagang part sila ng Brilliant Skin,” Ivana said.

She emphasized her support for businesses that embrace inclusivity.

“Mas gusto kong suportahan yung mga business talaga na lahat welcome. Eleven ang PWD nila dito sa Brilliant Skin,” she added.

During her visit, Ivana also highlighted the story of Dinky, a hearing-impaired single father who has been working at the company for six years while supporting his child.

“Ito yung kanyang bread and butter—ito yung trabaho niya para ma-sustain niya yung anak niya,” she shared.

Through sign language, Dinky expressed his gratitude for the opportunity, prompting Ivana to remark, “Tatagal ka ba ng six years kung hindi?”

The actress also encouraged the public to be more supportive of inclusive workplaces.

“Dapat talaga binibigyan pa rin natin ng trabaho ang ating mga PWD. We need to really try to understand and love them because pare-pareho naman tayo,” she said.

Brilliant Skin Essentials Inc. continues to gain recognition not only for its products but also for its business practices. The company was named 2025 Top Employer of the Year by the Municipality of Morong, Rizal. It also ranked among the Top 3 Outstanding Business Taxpayers and Top 4 Highest Real Property Taxpayers in the municipality.

Meanwhile, Miss Glenda’s other venture, Pink Ladder Construction and Development OPC, was recognized as a Top 14 Outstanding Business Taxpayer of the Year.
