Ginebra San Miguel unveils Heaven Peralejo as 2024 Calendar Girl: A Festive Celebration of Filipino Fiestas

The calendar’s six layouts each capture the beauty and diversity of Filipino culture, with Heaven’s infectious positivity shining

Ginebra San Miguel, the world’s best-selling gin, has officially announced Heaven Peralejo as its Calendar Girl for the year 2024.

The revelation took place during a lively media launch at The Westin Manila in Mandaluyong City, where the actress shared her excitement about becoming the iconic brand’s ambassador.

Heaven, acclaimed for her role in the movie ‘Nananahimik ang Gabi’ and starring in the youth series ‘The Rain in España,’ expressed her delight at being chosen as the face of Ginebra San Miguel. The launch, themed ‘Philippine Fiesta,’ showcased six vibrant layouts inspired by different fiestas: Panagbenga, Lantern, Higantes, Pintados, Kadayawan, and Masskara.

Reflecting on her personal connection with Ginebra, Heaven reminisced, “It’s such a beautiful milestone of my life to be part of Ginebra. When I was 18 years old, gin bilog with pineapple juice was my first drink. It’s a dream come true, my first drink is also my first big endorsement.”

Ron Molina, GSMI Marketing Manager, described the 2024 Ginebra calendar as a symbolic expression of optimism, unity, and the anticipation of brighter days ahead. Paolo Jose Tupaz, GSMI Group Product Manager, emphasized Heaven’s role as a perfect embodiment of Ginebra San Miguel’s attributes and the lively spirit of the Philippine Fiesta.

The calendar’s six layouts each capture the beauty and diversity of Filipino culture, with Heaven’s infectious positivity shining through:

Panagbenga Festival (Baguio): Surrounded by vibrant floral displays, Heaven radiates joy and beauty, reflecting Ginebra San Miguel’s role in bringing people together to celebrate joyous moments.

Lantern Festival (San Fernando, Pampanga): Illuminated by giant lanterns, Heaven symbolizes hope and brilliance, mirroring Ginebra’s encouragement to embrace vibrant and authentic selves.

Higantes Festival (Angono, Rizal): Positioned among papier-mâché puppets, Heaven aspires for excellence, echoing Ginebra’s commitment to upholding traditions of greatness and cultural festivities.

Pintados Festival (Leyte): With intricate body paintings, Heaven pays homage to bravery and resilience, aligning with Ginebra’s recognition of every Filipino’s courage and pursuit of dreams.

Kadayawan Festival (Davao City): Portrayed with abundant fruits and vegetables, Heaven embodies gratitude and appreciation, reflecting Ginebra’s belief in celebrating accomplishments and embracing challenges.

Masskara Festival (Bacolod): Adorned with vibrant masks, Heaven reflects the “never-say-die” attitude, mirroring Ginebra’s perseverance in the face of challenges.

In addition to celebrating Filipino heritage, this edition of the Ginebra San Miguel calendar holds special significance as it marks the brand’s 190th anniversary. The inclusion of a QR code allows consumers to scan and access behind-the-scenes videos of Heaven’s photoshoots and a special message to her fans.
