Sen. Manny Pacquiao will convince their brother to support his team instead of Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio’s

The boxing legend said he’ll try to talk to his brother about his endorsement

Sen. Manny Pacquiao’s brother Sarangani Rep. Ruel Pacquiao has reportedly expressed support for presidential aspirant Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte.

The boxing legend said he’ll try to talk to his brother about his endorsement.

“Mamaya ko pa tatawagan s’ya dahil hindi ko pa ma-contact kanina,” Pacquiao said when asked to comment about his brother’s move.

The senator already talked with his running mate Lito Atienza about the matter. He seeks to discuss politics with Ruel and another brother OFW Family Club Party-list Rep. Bobby Pacquiao.

Pacquiao aims to convince his siblings to back his movement, but that is all.

“Kakausapin ko muna sila, kukumbinsihin dahil nakakahiya naman sa ating bise president. Kinuha ko yung bise president ko dahil malaki ang tiwala ko, at yung ekspiryensya sa pagserbisyo and’yan,” he said.

“Papaliwanagan ko, kukumbinsihin ko. Pero hindi ko naman sinasabi na kaya ko silang makontrol. Pero kakausapin ko, pipilitin ko na maniwala sa akin,” he added.

On Thursday, Pacquiao said he’d disallow relatives from becoming public servants should a law on political dynasties be passed.

“Pagbabawalan natin pagka may batas na maipasa na [anti]-dynasty law. Susunod tayo sa batas,” the senator said in an interview on radio DZBB.

“If that is what the majority wants, why not?” he added.
