Janella Salvador on how motherhood changed her perspective on life

She admitted that becoming a mother has impacted her in a “very big way”

Motherhood has changed Janella Salvador’s perspective on life.

She admitted that becoming a mother has impacted her in a “very big way.”

“In a very big way. Yung episode ko nakasama ko dito si Mutya. Ang story kasi namatay yung nanay namin. So ako yung tumayung ina para sakanya.” she said during a media conference on Click, Like, Share Season 2.

Her motherly instincts came naturally. Having a kid also gives her more reason to do better in life.

“Motherhood just came naturally. Mother’s instinct kasi, hindi siya inaaral. Feeling ko nakatulong siya sa pagarte ko kasi mas lumalim yung mga emotions ko. Mas may purpose na ako, mas meron akong pinaglalaban ngayon sa buhay.”

For now, she won’t allow her son to go on social media as he is too young.

“We’re planning not to allow him social media until nasa tamang age na siya to understand and when he’s ready for the consequences talaga.

“It’s like you’re exposing your child to the world and the world is so broad. May good, may bad.” she shared.

Starting out, she also didn’t know how she’d portray herself on social media. So Janella just looked at how other artists posted and copied them. But today, she is more responsible and limits posts to achievements.

“Dati naprerpessure ako sa social media na parang ‘Ay, ang active nila sa social media. Baka dapat ganun din ako.’ As the years went by parang there’s no right way to use social media kasi account mo yan.

“I can share anything I want pero nagsheshare lang ako pag may milestone or may importanteng nangyayari.”

During taping for the program’s second season, she admitted to missing her child.

The anthology series is the first project Janella worked on after being away from acting for over a year.
