Thai BL stars Billkin Putthipong, PP Krit share about their closeness as well as most awkward scenes in ‘I Told Sunset About You’

The two have quite the number of romantic scenes in the coming-of-age series. But as they’ve grown closer together, the awkward moments for them lie in the times where they had to pretend like they were strangers.

I Told Sunset About You‘s main stars Billkin Putthipong and PP Krit expressed their partnership and closeness in filming for their hit series.

During an interview with LionhearTV, PP said that they have known each other for quite some time now and that it benefited their chemistry when it comes to acting.

“We were friends since about five years ago and we’re already close to each other. So that became a benefit for the series because when we perform together, the improvisations, acting, and special moments, we understand each other when it comes to acting,” he explained.

“So it created much of the good chemistry that we had with one another.”

The two have quite the number of romantic scenes in the coming-of-age series. But as they’ve grown closer together, the awkward moments for them lie in the times where they had to pretend like they were strangers.

“For the romantic scenes for us, we [we’re] not that awkward. We were not awkward at all, actually. But the hardest scene for us is the scene where [the characters] just met each other like we have to be strangers.”

He then attested to what PP said and mentioned that their closeness was the reason why it was so strange acting so distant with one another.

Social media is a platform for people to easily connect especially for artists like PP and Billkin. But with the access to such apps also comes with the risk of getting scrutinized.

With that, PP felt like everybody has the right to say or show opinions but before taking action, he would consider if the comments are true or false. If it was true, he would change or adjust himself. But if false, he wouldn’t think too much about it.

Billkin agreed with his co-star and said that he would use valid criticisms to develop himself but if it weren’t true, he will just leave it.

He also mentioned how their fans and management work together to protect them from harmful comments from netizens.

“We are lucky that we have Nadao to protect [us]. Sometimes our fans send the evidence to our legal team, they would do the [necessary] action for us,” he shared.

The actor then reminded everyone that though they have the right to speak their minds, there are still some limitations to be considered.

“We all have the freedom of speech to show opinions, to say what we think, but it shouldn’t cross the line of others.

“You have the right to speak but you do not have the right to intrude other [people’s] rights.”

I Told Sunset About You revolves around the lives of Teh (Billkin) and Oh-aew (PP) as they prepare for university admissions.

The second part of the story is titled I Promised You The Moon which picks up where the first one left off, which is after they’ve entered the university.

A 14-minute short film titled the Last Twilight in Phuket was also released where it showed the two main character’s relationship as they adjust as university students.

Local streaming app POPTV was recently commended for its dubbing of I Told Sunset About You and for successfully localizing the series in the Philippines.
