Say Goodbye to Your Stubborn Pimples: An Acne Vaccine is on the Way!

One of the most common skincare problems that almost everyone experiences is the stubborn acne.

Sometimes, it would disappear overnight, but generally it takes a lot of time before it heals. What’s even worse is that, scars are likely to remain on your skin.

Various people spend on medications, creams and other skincare products to get rid of acne. It might be effective for others, but there are some cases where nothing is taking effect.

At times, it would even show up on your face when you have an important occasion to attend. Sure, there are a few lucky ones who are able to get rid of it easily, but for others who are unfortunate enough, they would resort to concealer application.

Good news, it seems like teenagers and adults won’t have to suffer from sinabon-ko-naman-ayaw-kuminis problems! According to Allure, a group of scientists from University of California San Diego are working to develop an acne vaccine.

Vaccine

As told by Lead researcher Eric C. Huang to Allure: “Acne is caused, in part, by P. acnes bacteria that are with you your whole life — and we couldn’t create a vaccine for the bacteria because, in some ways, P. acnes are good for you. But we found an antibody to a toxic protein that P. acnes bacteria secrete on skin — the protein is associated with the inflammation that leads to acne.”

On the other hand, the only problem is that the acne vaccine is still in its testing phase and will proceed for two more years before it is finally introduced to the market.

For the mean time, people with acne problems can resort with eating healthy foods and maintaining a good hygiene to make sure that bacterium which causes zits would be eliminated and won’t leave any scar.
